In August, our group trip for Reykjavik Pride coincides with Iceland’s summer season, offering up to 18 hours of daylight for exploration. Whether it’s hiking across lava fields, soaking in the Blue Lagoon, or celebrating Pride with locals and travelers alike, Iceland is alive with possibilities.

Iceland’s nickname, the Land of Fire and Ice, is no exaggeration. The island is home to some of the world’s most active volcanoes, as well as massive glaciers that cover 11% of its surface. This dynamic interplay creates a landscape that is as raw as it is beautiful—a reminder of nature’s incredible power.
The recent volcanic activity near the Blue Lagoon is just one example of Iceland’s fiery heart. While lava temporarily disrupted the area, it also highlighted the resilience of the Icelandic people, who quickly redirected the flow to protect this iconic geothermal spa. For those of us attending Reykjavik Pride in 2025, it’s a humbling reminder of Iceland’s ever-changing beauty.
